Historical Information
Most people don't realizes Mercier Farms is sitting on a little bit of history. Way back in 1897 our farm was owned by E.P. Jansen. Mr. Jansen was the first farmer to introduce the McIntosh Apple to the United State. It has since become a favorite dessert apple.
Also, sitting on our 55 acres rests a great white oak tree. This tree once measured 134' from end to end. This tree was once consider to be the largest tree in New York State. You can't miss it's smaller cousin in the front of our property.
